Graphic Design Teaching Assistant – Coop Center for Creativity Afterschool Program

 

About the Coop Center for Creativity Afterschool Program

The Coop Center for Creativity Afterschool Program is designed to give Coop High School students in grades 9-12 training from professional artists in various disciplines such as visual arts, graphic design and writing/publishing.  The program will accept ten to twelve students in each discipline and will run from late March to late June 2010.

 

Graphic Design Teaching Assistant / General Purpose:

The Graphic Design Teaching Assistant will support the Graphic Design Teacher in executing an afterschool graphic design class on Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30 – 5:30 pm starting March 30 and lasting 12 weeks.  The TA will support the Teacher from 2:30 – 4:00 pm and will be expected to conduct class independently from 4:00 – 5:30 pm.  It is preferred that the TA focuses on teaching the fundamentals of typography during this 1.5 hr portion of each class.   

 

Compensation:

$1,500.00 for period from March 30 through June 25, 2010.

 

Requirements:

      Mastery of typography and graphic design fundamentals

      Experience/interest in teaching high school students
