Higher Heights Needs Tutors!

Higher Heights is looking for committed volunteer tutors. Our students a need extra help in pre-/calculus, algebra I&II, geometry, earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, English, Spanish, history, and study skills. Tutors are asked to dedicate at least one hour each week to be here at our site. Each tutor will have the liberty to choose his or her own hours to establish a fixed schedule.
The tutor’s main roles are are to provide the encouragement and knowledge necessary for a student to flourish in a troubling subject area and to accurately track student progress. Tutors will also help Higher Heights succeed in one of our program goals, which is to raise each student’s basic subject area grades (math, English, science, social studies) by half a letter grade.
