Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame Awards Ella T. Grasso Leadership in Action Grant to Leah Sarna ’14
Dwight Hall at Yale congratulates 2013 Student Executive Committee Co-Coordinator, Leah Sarna ’14, for being presented with an Ella T. Grasso Leadership in Action grant from the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame during the 2012 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on October 18, 2012.
From the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame announcement:Two outstanding young women received the 2nd annual Ella T. Grasso Leadership in Action Grant: Leah Sarna, Yale University, founder of Project keepSAFE, a short-term storage facility for homeless individuals in New Haven; and Christina Weaver, University of Saint Joseph, who will lead an eight-week motivational and educational program focusing on diabetes and hypertension advice for female residents in a transitional housing facility in Hartford.
