Connecticut Bail Fund

Mission: 

Connecticut Bail Fund is a project of Community Bonds, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting racial and economic justice in the pretrial process of the criminal justice system.

Summary of Activities: 
  • Posting Bail: We post bail for individuals whose bond amount is 5,000 dollars or below, if they cannot afford it.
  • Grant Writing for CT Bail Fund: Many of the volunteers write drafts of grants for CT Bail Fund
  • Court Watch: Several Volunteers for the bail fund would go to court to watch arraignments and report back.
