Join us this Fired Up Friday for a second call to action: this time, calling out lawmakers who have been silent or complicit in the Russia scandal. Michael T. Flynn’s recent resignation has further revealed the extent of uncertainty and lies in Trump’s involvement with Russia, and Democrats have demanded an inquiry: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/14/us/politics/congress-nsc-flynn.html?smprod=nytcore-iphone&smid=nytcore-iphone-share. To that end, we will be hosting a student-run phone-banking event this Friday from 3-5 in the Dwight Hall Common Room calling Congresspeople and urging them to take a stance against the Russia scandal.
Please come out as we keep the momentum going. There is still a huge amount of work to be done and action to be taken together. As we move forward, we will host these student-run calls to action every other week, and we hope that you continue coming. Until Friday, stay fired up!
(And, stay tuned for an upcoming advocacy coalition that will meet every other week when Fired Up Friday is not held, from the organizers of Fired Up Fridays.
