Do you want to be involved with service at Yale?
Do you want to explore New Haven while contributing to the community?
Do you want to become a leader of service and activism on campus?
If so, then you may be interested in applying to Dwight Hall’s First-Years in Service (FIS). FIS is a year-long initiative designed to be both a learning experience and a grassroots activist network for students who are curious to learn and possess a genuine desire to serve a cause greater than themselves. Participants have discussions with local non-profit leaders who dedicate their lives to improving our shared city as well as work weekly with non-profits fighting to eliminate chronic homelessness, reducing poverty, and more. You will also spend time with 39 other hardworking and passionate First-Years and four upperclassmen who will guide you through the process. Alumni of First-Years in Service are equipped with the tools and connections to continue their activism at Yale as active leaders in various clubs and in Dwight Hall.
If you are interested, the application is up and running and will close on Sept. 15 at midnight!
