Event description:

The United States statistically has had more mass shootings than any other country in the world. Join us as we explore the ‘why’ for our fifth installment of our Understanding America series, in a discussion about gun culture in the U.S. To lead this conversation, we are thrilled to have Professor Alan Bruce join us for the evening. Professor Bruce is the Director of the Criminal Justice Program at Quinnipiac University and will be discussing the second amendment and how it has evolved over time, the unequal distribution of gun violence across the country, and data surrounding media coverage on mass shootings.
