Join Yale’s Office of Career Strategy for a Q&A with Zelda Roland, Director of the Yale Prison Education Initiative at Dwight Hall (http://www.dwighthall.org/ypei)

Zelda Roland is a Yale alumna (BA `08 PhD `16) and the Founding Director of the Yale Prison Education Initiative at Dwight Hall, which brings access to Yale classes and other campus programming to incarcerated students in Connecticut. Zelda conceived of this program while finishing her PhD, and over the last four years has worked to establish, gain institutional support for, organize, staff, and fund YPEI. In her role, Zelda coordinates YPEI’s partnership with the Connecticut Department of Corrections and its facilities; fosters relationships with community partners and other national and statewide prison education programs and criminal justice organizations; and organizes a passionate and broad assembly of Yale faculty, administrators, staff, and students who work with YPEI to bring Dwight Hall’s longstanding tradition of social justice and public service to Yale’s educational mission.
