SUMMARY:A Cartography of Love - in Malcolm\, with Malcolm\, and through MalcolmAn Evening of Storytelling and Heartful Exploration
DESCRIPTION:Register here! \n\n\n\nIn this special program\, Dr. Martin Nguyen explores the many forms of love embedded within Islamic theology—divine\, prophetic\, and communal—through a sustained reflection on the life and legacy of Malcolm X.Tracing Malcolm’s transformation as not only political but profoundly spiritual\, the evening frames love as justice\, mercy\, and ethical striving. Dr. Eboni Marshall Turman\, celebrated scholar and long-time student of Malcolm X’s life and thought\, will offer a response.Distinctively\, this gathering integrates storytelling into the evening. Participants will be invited to share brief reflections inspired by themes of love\, transformation\, and liberation. An interfaith and interdisciplinary celebration of love\, this event takes place as we approach Ramadan and Valentine’s Day\, centering dialogue\, listening\, and collective meaning-making.⸻Partners:Unity Pictures Foundation (UPF)Muslim Leadership Lab at Dwight Hall\, YaleYale Divinity School (Office of the Associate Dean of Community Engagement)Yale Chaplain’s Office
