Bio: After completing my undergraduate degree at Yale and a masters in urban planning, I traveled around North Africa and Asia before taking a job as a City Planner in Philadelphia for eight years. I returned to Yale to the SOM, and then worked as a management consultant to the finance director of the city of Philadelphia. At the same time, I founded the Energy Department Story and Public/Private Ventures. In 1984, I began working as a fundraising consultant to non-profit organizations through Goodale Associates, Inc. From 1989, I founded and ran Edward F. Swenson & Associates Inc., a management and fundraising consulting group for nonprofits. I’m married to Joan and we have one son, Edward.
