Bio:  Tim Tompkins is the President of the Times Square Alliance.  Prior to that, he was the Founder of Partnerships for Parks. He has worked at NYC’s Economic Development Corporation, and was briefly the Nationals Editor at the Mexico City News, an English-language newspaper in Mexico. He has an M.B.A. from Wharton, and currently teaches “Transforming the Urban Economy” and “The Arts and Artist in Urban Revitalization” at the NYU Graduate School of Public Policy. When he is not spending time in the most urban and unnatural place on the planet, he enjoys boating in New York City’s natural areas and waterways, and also practicing yoga.
