Students for Autism Awareness at Yale (SAAY)


Students for Autism Awareness at Yale (SAAY) is an undergraduate organization that strives to raise autism awareness at Yale and in the greater New Haven community. As a Dwight Hall organization, SAAY provides interactive opportunities for Yale students to engage with individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Students for Autism Awareness at Yale strives to help improve the lives of those affected by autism.

Summary of Activities: 

Weekly volunteering in schools Monthly volunteering at “Exploring Artism” in partnership with Yale Center for British Art (YCBA) World Autism Awareness day activities (campus awareness campaign, art-making project with Chapel Haven and New Haven public school students in partnership with Chapel Haven and YCBA, screening of “Autism in Love” documentary with possible accompanying lecture) Fundraiser with local business for Autism Science Foundation
