Teaching Fellow in Community Engagement

Summary of Opportunity: 

Location: Phillips Academy, a private boarding school in Andover, Massachusetts

Position: Teaching Fellow

The teaching fellow in community engagement mentors student leaders, oversees weekly community engagement programming, and helps to organize various events sponsored by our small and busy office. 

The teaching fellow receives a stipend of $30,000, free health insurance, free housing on campus (in a dorm or non-dorm apartment), and free access to all of the facilities on campus, including meals in the dining hall and the athletic facilities.  

We are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills; a demonstrated commitment to community engagement and issues of equity, inclusion, and social justice; an eagerness to work with a diverse group of high school students and community partners; as well as strong organizational and problem-solving skills, consistent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a small, busy, and fast-paced office. The appointment is for one year with the possibility of a renewal.
