Dwight Hall at Yale is launching the 2023 application for Summer…
Initiated in 1994, Dwight Hall Urban Fellows is an academic-year program whereby Yale University undergraduates gain exposure to today’s urban challenges and work with community professionals, gaining professional skills and insight through direct supervision of existing projects, and building the capacity of their host organization through projects designed in collaboration with a community partner. As an Urban Fellow, students receive funding through Dwight Hall to work closely with their desired community organization. Placements seek to uncover and counter urban challenges through neighborhood empowerment, community-building, and economic development, working to challenge assumptions, encourage relationship-building, foster a lifelong commitment to civic engagement, and put community-guided solutions into practice.
The 2023-24 Urban Fellows is now open! Applications are due April 16th, 11:59pm.
