The FGLI Path to the PhD: How to Apply and Succeed in STEM and Humanities PhD Programs

Join us for a live in-person panel discussion at Dwight Hall on how to apply and succeed in PhD programs, featuring FGLI alumni currently and previously in competitive STEM and Humanities programs. All Yalies from Yale College and G&P schools are invited to attend.

Four alums will share their “real world” experiences navigating the path to PhD programs, from STEM to the humanities, and candidly discuss their journeys as first-generation and/or low-income scholars. Their biographies are in the Registration link.

Topics include applying, securing funding, building research experience, and finding mentors who helped them succeed in academia, non-profit, and private job market.
