Dwight Hall at Yale seeks to connect students of all Yale schools to volunteer opportunities in New Haven.

The Volunteer Coordinators will be responsible for growing a pool of potential volunteers and will give special attention to developing the volunteer recruitment process for specific events. This position will have cross-platform access to our database and communications tools and will work closely with Dwight hall staff, programs and member groups. This position will manage the recruitment system for students interested in responding to community partnership opportunities, support the process for partners to submit events, manage volunteer lists, communicate status with community partners, and help ensure all volunteer needs are met. This position will participate in volunteer opportunities as needed.

One Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining Dwight Hall’s partnership with Sunrise Cafe to provide volunteers for the breakfast service one day per week at St. Paul & St. James Church throughout the academic year. They will be responsible for recruiting volunteers for this weekly service opportunity and will lead the team of 5-10 volunteers on a consistent weekday (to be determined) from 6:30 am to 9:00am. This position will also seek to identify Yale staff affinity groups, graduate and professional students, Yale affiliates, and other volunteers to serve when undergraduates are unavailable, such as during Spring Recess.

Hours: 2-10/week

Hourly Rate: $16.25/hr
