Alicia Aviles is a Hartford, Connecticut native, mother of two, grandmother of two, and small business owner who is attempting to tackle the ails of transitioning from prison back to society for women. Alicia’s drive and desire to impact this process comes from her lived experience of having served eight years of incarceration and facing these hurdles with minimal support. Come hear her story and learn about her life-changing work with the Civic Allyship Initiative’s first workshop of the year: “Building Bridges in Transition”.
