The Yale Undergraduate Prison Project, in collaboration with the Indigenous Peoples of Oceania at Yale, will be hosting a screening of Ciara Lacy’s “Out of State,” a documentary on the incarceration of Native Hawaiian men in a for-profit prison in Eloy, Arizona. Following the screening, we will be joined by Lacy for a conversation on the film, the ongoing mass incarceration of Native Hawaiians, and paths toward decolonial and abolitionist futures.
The screening will take place in Silliflicks, the movie theater in Silliman College. Refreshments will be provided.
