SRR and the EDs are also hosting an informal meet and greet on Tuesday, August 20th, from 8 PM-8:30 PM where you will get the opportunity to speak with department directors and learn more about HAVEN. Please note that there is a mandatory training session for all new volunteers on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 10 am to 2 pm ET. More details about the volunteer training will follow your acceptance decisions.
HAVEN is also excited to partner with the Food Pharmacy at the Yale School of Medicine: an initiative seeking to reduce the impacts of food insecurity on patients’ health. Food Pharmacy volunteers will have the opportunity to supply fresh groceries to patients at HAVEN, as well as collect data from the Food Pharmacy to help influence Food is Medicine policy nationwide. Please note that this is a separate application from the HAVEN positions; however, you are welcome to apply for and be involved with both.
