At the start of the pandemic, Connecticut enacted legislated to create a free school meals program, ensuring free breakfast for all K-12 students and free lunches for students who qualify for reduced-price meals. This fund expires at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. The Connecticut General Assembly will have a committee hearing on renewing this program through June 2025 Tuesday, April 2nd at 10:00am in bill HB 5510.
