What is the Dwight Hall Volunteer Corps? How can I join?

The Dwight Hall Volunteer Corps connects Yale students directly to service opportunities in New Haven! Corps members are matched with a service site in areas such as:

  • combating food insecurity at soup kitchens and pantries
  • caring for shared green spaces
  • supporting young learners after school
  • building relationships with senior citizens
  • connecting community members with mental health services
  • and much, much more!
  • Each site is supported by a Volunteer Coordinator who serves as the primary point of contact with the community partner, coordinates student participation in service opportunities, and fosters a sense of community among volunteers.

Fill out this FORM and we’ll connect right away!

Who can join the Volunteer Corps?

Anyone! It is never too early or too late to begin volunteering! Whether you are a first-year, a senior, or a graduate student, we’d love to have you join the Corps.

I want to volunteer! What happens next?

Once you fill out this volunteer registration form, you will automatically receive a booking link to meet with a Dwight Hall Lead Volunteer Coordinator. We will use this meeting to get a sense of your interests, availability, and talk over the ethos of the program. The Coordinator will speak with you one-on-one and get you immediately involved at one of our service sites!

Questions? Feel free to contact Caden Diaz (caden.diaz@yale.edu) or Alessandra Pappalardi (alessandra.pappalardi@yale.edu), Lead Volunteer Coordinators at Dwight Hall.
