Dwight Hall aims to empower students and community leaders in our collective push for advancing social change. Our signature programs, the Yale Prison Education Initiative and Muslim Leadership Lab, after-school programs, and emerging projects work to further bridge campus and community.

Serve with the Yale Prison Education Initiative

The Yale Prison Education Initiative at Dwight Hall expands upon existing Yale participation in prison education by bringing access to rigorous, for-credit Yale College courses and other programming to incarcerated students in Connecticut prisons.

Join the Muslim Leadership Lab

The first of its kind at an Ivy League school, the Muslim Leadership Lab gives participating cohort students an opportunity to engage with ideas, tools, and practical training that will allow them – as young changemakers and leaders – to more fully engage with other like-minded, diverse emerging leaders to create lasting change for social, political, and economic justice.

Volunteer with Co-op After School

Co-Op After School is a grant-funded after school program operated and managed by Dwight Hall at Yale in partnership with Co-Op High School.  As the largest high school after school program in the state of Connecticut, CAS provides free, innovative programming to more than 350 high school students annually in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.  

Volunteer with J-Z AMP™

J-Z AMP™ is a grant-funded program at Dwight Hall at Yale that connects Yale undergraduates to middle school students in a long-term relationship.  As college freshman, Yale students are selected to devote their sophomore, junior, and senior year to working with two students, beginning in sixth grade and ending in middle school graduation.
