Our Mission:

Our mission at Yale Funbotics is to introduce Robotics and STEM concepts to under-resourced communities, empowering them for success in our technology-driven world. Through our initiatives, we strive to foster imagination, teamwork, and inspire students to pursue careers in STEM fields, all while ensuring they have a blast in the process.

Our Activities:

One of our flagship activities is the Yale Funbotics Robotics Camp, a dynamic program designed to engage middle school students from underrepresented backgrounds in New Haven. In collaboration with National Funbotics, a 501c3 organization originated at Yale and supported by Yale SEAS and Dwight Hall, our camp offers hands-on experiences in robotics and STEM disciplines. Participants not only dive into STEM-oriented activities but also collaborate on building robots, leading up to an exciting cone-stacking competition that caps off their learning journey.

Student Leaders:

At the helm of our organization is Nimran Shergill, serving as Co-Coordinator/Co-President. Together, we’re committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of students in our community.

How Others Get Involved

Volunteers can find us at extracurricular bazaar events held on campus at the beginning of each semester! At these events, you may join our mailing list, which we use to send out updates and reminders about volunteering for each cohort of students (updates each semester). Volunteers may join in the beginning of the fall or spring semester. If unable to make it in person to these events, you may express your interest in joining Yale Funbotics by emailing us at yale.funbotics@gmail.com.
