Our Mission:

Our mission at Yale Funbotics is to introduce Robotics and STEM concepts to under-resourced communities, empowering them for success in our technology-driven world. Through our initiatives, we strive to foster imagination, teamwork, and inspire students to pursue careers in STEM fields, all while ensuring they have a blast in the process.

Our Activities:

One of our flagship activities is the Yale Funbotics Robotics Camp, a dynamic program designed to engage middle school students from underrepresented backgrounds in New Haven. In collaboration with National Funbotics, a 501c3 organization originated at Yale and supported by Yale SEAS and Dwight Hall, our camp offers hands-on experiences in robotics and STEM disciplines. Participants not only dive into STEM-oriented activities but also collaborate on building robots, leading up to an exciting cone-stacking competition that caps off their learning journey.

Student Leaders:

At the helm of our organization is Nimran Shergill, serving as Co-Coordinator/Co-President. Together, we’re committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of students in our community.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to introduce Robotics and STEM to under-resourced communities to prepare them for success in a technology driven world. We hope to encourage imagination and team work, inspire students to pursue STEM careers, and have fun at the same time.

Yale Funbotics is a chapter of National Funbotics, a 501c3 organization born at Yale, partnered with Yale SEAS and Dwight Hall. Yale Funbotics is dedicated to igniting a passion for STEM in youth by providing fun, hands-on, experiences for under-resourced, underrepresented students in New Haven middle schools. We do this through a curriculum that combines STEM-oriented activities with the larger project of building a robot, culminating in a FUN cone-stacking competition.

Our mission is to introduce robotics to the underprivileged youth in New Haven and encourage imagination and teamwork. By providing an early, hands-on look into engineering, Funbotics aims to drive more children into STEM fields from a young age. Through our program, students not only learn the foundations of robotics and develop critical thinking, team-building, and presentation skills, but they also are exposed to the fun in robotics and STEM. We host a six- to seven- session program where students work in groups to build robots and also participate in small STEM activities and discussions.
