Apply to be a FOCUS 2025 Leader!

FOCUS on New Haven is looking for group leaders for its 2025 program! Our first-years and STEP (sophomores, transfers, and Eli Whitney participants) volunteer with local community organizations, engage with social justice issues in New Haven through group discussions and speaker events, and discover how to actively participate in the community as we work together to build a just and collaborative relationship between Yale and New Haven.

We’re looking for leaders and support crew members who have interest in or experience with community engagement, and who are eager to engage in discussions around social justice, university-city relations, and the power dynamics of service as we welcome the newest generation of changemakers to our campus.

If you are interested in being a 2025 FOCUS Leader or a FOCUS Support Crew member, please fill out this application by 11:59 pm ET on February 19th. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions at the end of the form or email them to focus@dwighthall.org.

Leaders commit to moving in by August 13th and will receive a stipend, as well as room and board from arrival to the beginning of the school year.
