Become a Tree Ambassador!

Help to plant more trees in New Haven by knocking on doors and asking residents if they want to adopt a new free tree for their curbstrip. Urban Resources Initiative is a non-profit/university partnership that plants all of New Haven’s street trees. The trees help to store carbon, cool our city, clean the air, and increase property values. This spring URI plans to plant 200 trees, but they need people who are willing to request, adopt and water the trees in front of their homes or businesses.

This is an ongoing opportunity for students to work in pairs to canvas. URI will provide you with training, a map, doorhanger flyers, and all the tools needed.
