Removing Invasive Plants from Natural Areas (AKA De-Vining) with Urban Resources Initiative

Join a team of volunteers to save trees from invasive vines. Cut the vines using tools provided and do your part to save carbon from getting emitted through dead trees. These invasive vines are a growing problem due to the increasingly warmer climate. Vines like bittersweet are thriving at the edges of our natural areas where they get more sunlight. Volunteers meet Tuesdays 10am-12pm in Edgewood Park and 3-5pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month and also the third Saturday 10-12 in East Rock Park. Sign up in advance so we know how many work gloves and tools to bring.
