Our Mission:
At Community Health Educators (CHE), we are driven by a shared mission to empower New Haven public school students through peer-led health education. Our primary goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their health. We strive to revolutionize traditional health education by breaking down barriers through a comprehensive curriculum that fosters open conversation and empathy.

Our Mission:

Community Health Educators (CHE) is a student-led group dedicated to promoting health education on campus and in the greater New Haven community. We implement an annual health education program in several New Haven public schools with the hopes of empowering students to make informed decisions about their health and fostering conversations around topics that are traditionally stigmatized. Our curriculum consists of interactive workshops/activities delivered through a peer-to-peer model.

Education Program in New Haven Public Schools
Direct Service
Community Health Educators serve in various New Haven public schools on a weekly basis, through our established peer-health education program. Our curriculum spans topics from nutrition, mental health, optimal wellness, and is expanding to include skin health this semester.
