Our Mission:
Mecha de Yale is composed of students on campus who are politically conscious and sensitive to the issues affecting underrepresented peoples of our communities and our nation. Our social and political activism is a direct response to the problems that affect the Latiné population and other communities of color locally, nationally, and globally.
Our Activities:
Conexiones Advocacy or Activism Conexiones is an opportunity for Yale students to get in touch with the greater New Haven Community by serving as a space for community members to learn of the community resources available to them. Conexiones serves as a "connection" between community members and resources. Sueños Scholarship Fundraising This scholarship serves to empower the undocumented community in New Haven and make higher education more accessible. Sueños is also a celebration of the contributions and successes that undocumented folk bring to the community.
