Peer Counseling Direct Service Walden Peer Counseling provides free, confidential, and non-judgmental peer support to Yale undergraduates every night of the academic year. Staffed entirely by trained student volunteers, Walden offers a safe, welcoming space where students can talk through anything on their minds! From everyday stress, academic pressure, relationships, identity, or even moments of crisis. Our counselors are not therapists or administrators; they are peers who listen with empathy, care, and respect. We focus on meeting students where they are, helping them feel heard, and supporting them in identifying next steps or campus resources if desired. Whether someone needs to process a difficult day or simply wants someone to talk to, Walden exists to ensure that no student has to navigate challenges alone.
