Our Activities:
New Haven MathCounts Chapter Competition
Direct Service
Yale MathCounts Outreach helps organize, fund, and host the official New Haven MathCounts Chapter Competition for middle school students on Yale University's campus. Students must attend this competition in order to progress to the State round of the competition series.
Tutoring Middle and Elementary Schoolers Math
Direct Service
We send Yale students to different middle and elementary schools in New Haven to teach classes on math. For the more advanced schools, we prepare the students for the National MathCounts competition.
Yale April Competition
Direct Service
Yale MathCounts Outreach hosts the annual April Competition for New Haven schools. The April Competition aims to 1. increase awareness of Yale's MathCounts Outreach club for schools interested in taking Yale student volunteers as math coaches and 2. provide an avenue for students to test their mathematics abilities at the end of the school year
