Y2Y New Haven Board Applications

Y2Y New Haven is a joint initiative of students across New Haven dedicated to serving young adults ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness in the Greater New Haven area. Our philosophy revolves around a youth-centered approach to crisis housing, where students of similar ages support and deliver services to their peers staying in the shelter. If you’re passionate about making a difference and keen on leadership opportunities, we invite you to consider joining the Y2Y New Haven Steering Committee (SteerCom)!

What is SteerCom?
SteerCom serves as the governing student board of Y2Y New Haven. It represents a coalition of New Haven students committed to advocating for and ending youth homelessness. Alongside our partners at Youth Continuum and the Y2Y Network, SteerCom members play a crucial role in delivering our youth-to-youth service model, driving advocacy, and raising awareness. SteerCom is your opportunity to take a more active leadership role within the organization, collaborating closely to guide our direction and impact. We welcome applications from all students who are passionate about community service, leadership, and are looking for an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. Anyone is allowed to apply! Prior Y2Y experience is not mandatory.
