We are always seeking tutors for Yale Prison Education Initiative (YPEI) courses. In order to tutor in prison, candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving ~1 hour away to the correctional facilities where we offer our program (Danbury, CT or Suffield, CT). (Dwight Hall vehicles are available for use to Yale affiliates.) You must also attend a mandatory scheduled orientation at the correctional facility and be able to clear a background check. Right now we are especially in need of both math and writing tutors who can make a commitment of at least one year. Please reach out to us at ypei@dwighthall.org if you are able to tutor in college math and would like to work on our math tutoring team.
