Our Mission:
To support children through and beyond their parent's cancer with innovative, fun-filled programs that foster a lasting community.
Our Activities:
Virtual Cabin Chat
Direct Service
Camp Kesem Virtual Cabin Chats allow the campers we serve to have monthly check-ins and discussions with each other, guided by our student leaders. At each Virtual Cabin Chat, we provide a place for our campers to connect with one another, to play virtual games as a group, and to keep in contact in between larger events such as Friends and Family Day and our annual summer camp.
Volunteer Training
Direct Service
As part of our comprehensive counselor training program, we conduct in-person training sessions and Kesem member meetings to ensure all counselors are prepared to execute our programming and carry out the Kesem mission during the summer.
Friends and Family Day
Direct Service
Friends and Family Day is an all-day event that occurs once each fall and spring. At Friends and Family Day, our student leaders facilitate activities and discussions for our camper and families, allowing them to get together and bond in anticipation of the upcoming summer's camp.
Giving Tuesday
Fundraising
Our biggest day of fundraising of the year(November 30th). Everyone in our chapter attempts to raise $500 or more on that day in order to raise money for camp in the summer.
