Our Mission:
MEChA de Yale is composed of students on campus who are politically conscious and sensitive to the issues affecting underrepresented peoples of our communities and our nation. Our social and political activism is a direct response to the problems that affect the Chicanx/Latinx population and other communities of color locally, nationally and globally.

Advocacy, or Activism
This program pairs Latinx High School students with a Yale Latinx students, in which mentees receive one on one mentoring , as well as attend group sessions twice a month. These group sessions will be centered on different themes aimed at empowering the high school students, helping them with college access, and developing their social and political consciousness.

A $750 scholarship raised entirely through MEChA events to support a local New Haven undocumented high school senior going to college.
