The Office of LGBTQ Resources hosts a number of Student Assistant (SA) positions. It is currently recruiting four student assistants for the 2022-23 academic year. Under the direction of the professional staff and graduate assistants, student assistants assist in staffing the center, the planning and organizing of signature events, facilitating groups, and serving as touchstones for resources and referrals.
The Student Assistants at the Office of LGBTQ Resources serve any and all constituents of the Community Center (undergraduate, graduate and professional students, alumni, and faculty and staff). SAs are responsible for creating a radically inclusive environment and working with a team, composed of professional staff, Student Assistants, Graduate Assistants, Peer Liaisons, volunteers, and community leaders across campus and in the local community. Each student assistant maintains the physical space of the community center when we are open (Sunday-Friday, 3PM-10pm), serves on one of our three programming committees (Pride@Yale, Trans@Yale, or QTPOC), and connects with others in the LGBTQ community through event coordination, hosting events, or creating passive programs of their choice. Each student assistant position is $15 per hour with an expected commitment of 10 hours per week for 27 weeks. All interested students should apply at www.yalestudentjobs.org (Job IDs: 28828) as soon as possible. The priority deadline for applicants is August 5th.
