Our Mission:
We aim to improve the math proficiency of New Haven Public School students, many of whom fell way behind grade level during the pandemic and are struggling to catch up. Yale students will serve as volunteer math tutors in partnership with New HYTEs (New Haven Youth Tennis and Education).
Our Activities:
Biweekly math tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-6 in Dwight Hall Direct Service Our team of tutors works with New Haven Public School kids bussed to Dwight Hall from school. We tutor elementary school students in foundational math one-on-one with the goal of helping all students reach and maintain grade level math proficiency.
