Student Executive Committee (ExComm)

Our Mission:

The Student Executive Committee is elected by Cabinet each fall, and is charged with the management of all Cabinet activities and effective support of Dwight Hall at Yale as a nonprofit institution. ExComm meets weekly to determine and implement priority projects, provide ongoing support of student service and advocacy programs, allocate resources, make policy recommendations and initiate programs for the Yale and New Haven communities.

Our Activities:

Days of Service
Direct Service
Every semester, Dwight Hall's Student Executive Committee coordinates citywide volunteering opportunities for undergraduates. Typically, the fall semester is the "First-Year Day of Service" which creates an opportunity for new students to learn about the strengths and beauty of the city we call home. The spring semester typically has a day of service in January near Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and again in May near the Yale Day of Service. Additionally, Dwight Hall is available to help coordinate any volunteer efforts of Yale institutions that would like to volunteer for a day.

Cabinet
Direct Service
The Dwight Hall Cabinet is the voting body of Dwight Hall made up of the leadership of all Dwight Hall Member Groups and Institutional Programs. The Cabinet holds important votes on leadership of the Student Executive Committee, incoming members of the Dwight Hall Board of Directors, and Membership into Dwight Hall at Yale's group structure. Cabinet meets a least once a semester and follows the by-laws of Dwight Hall's Student Executive Committee.
