Our Mission:
Rotaract’s mission is to promote the Rotarian motto of “service above self” among young men and women around the world. We focus on three areas: international projects, local community service, and campus engagement. Throughout the year we work with other groups on campus to promote events and fundraisers designed to connect students with the spirit of service. We also consult and partner with the New Haven Rotary Club and attend Rotary conferences at the United Nations in order to connect and interact with over 1,300 Rotary and Rotaract members from around the world. Fundraising and collaborating with Thrive Well, a Malaysian mental health-focused social enterprise
Fundraising
Thrive Well is a social enterprise with a mission to expand trauma-informed community mental health services to individuals, communities, and organizations, particularly the marginalized and high-needs communities, in a sustainable manner. They provide care to the community through a comprehensive range of programs and services, with the goal to make mental health services accessible to everyone.
In accordance to Rotary International’s theme this year—mental well-being— Yale Rotaract will work closely with Rotary clubs in Malaysia and Thrive Well to help survivors of domestic violence overcome their trauma.
